Sit in front of the Lekhani and Dawat (pen and inkpot) which symbolically represent Goddess Kali, and meditate on Her while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
The devotee visualizes Mahakali, the fierce yet compassionate form of the Divine Mother — holding a sword and the gesture of protection, adorned with a garland of severed heads, wild flowing hair, and residing in the cremation ground. She is the embodiment of time, power, and liberation from fear.
After meditating on Bhagwati Kali, invoke Her in front of the Lekhani and Dawat by chanting the prescribed Mantra. Keep your hands in Avahan Mudra (invocation posture) while calling upon Her.
“O Supreme Goddess! Easily pleased by devotion and surrounded by Your divine attendants — stay with me while I worship You.
Rescue me from the endless ocean of worldly suffering, protect my life, honor, family, and wealth.
Bless this sacred ritual with Your divine presence and grant peace, prosperity, and success.”

After invoking Bhagwati Kali, take five flowers in both palms (Anjali Mudra) and place them near the Lekhani and Dawat as a seat offering to the Goddess while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
“I offer this golden, gem-studded seat for You to be seated upon with love and reverence.”

Now perform the Puja of Bhagwati Kali with sandal paste (Chandan), rice grains (Akshata), flowers (Pushpa), incense (Dhoop), lamp (Deep), and food offering (Naivedya) while chanting the prescribed Mantras.
Each offering symbolizes deep reverence and surrender to Her divine energy — water for the feet purifies all actions, water for the head cleanses the mind with divine thoughts, sandal and rice bring fragrance and stability, flowers express beauty and devotion, incense fills the air with peace, the lamp dispels ignorance, food offers gratitude and sustenance, water for sipping purifies within, and betel leaves with nuts embody auspicious devotion — || Om Shri Kali Devyai Namah — Various Offerings Samarpayami ||.

After completing the Puja, take sandal paste, rice grains, and flowers in your left hand and gently place them near the Lekhani and Dawat with your right hand while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
“With these offerings and heartfelt devotion, may Goddess Mahakali — the Mother of the Universe — be pleased and bestow Her blessings of courage, wisdom, and victory over fear and darkness.”
