Frequently Asked Questions

These are the most commonly asked questions about Anushtanam.

What is an Anushtanam and why is it performed?

An Anushtanam is a sacred Vedic ritual performed for inner purification, blessings, and spiritual upliftment. It may include mantra chanting, homa, or parayanam depending on the intention (sankalpa).

Can I take part in an Anushtanam without visiting the location physically?

Yes, you can participate remotely. The rituals are performed live in Kashi by qualified Acharyas, and you can join online and receive the prasadam at your home.

How are the Anushtanams performed as per Vedic traditions and by whom?

All Anushtanams are performed by traditional Vedic scholars and Acharyas from Kashi, following proper Shrauta and Smarta procedures as outlined in the scriptures.

How do I register for a specific Anushtanam?

You can register directly through the platform by selecting your preferred Anushtanam date and submitting your details and donation. A confirmation will follow via email or WhatsApp.

What personal details do I need to provide before the ritual?

Typically, your name, nakshatra (Birth Star), gotra (Lineage), and purpose of Anushtanam (if any) are requested for proper sankalpa during the ritual. Nakshatra is optional but recommended. If you don't know your nakshatra, just tell us your birth date and we will figure it out.

Will I get a recording or update after the Anushtanam is completed?

Yes, you will receive an update and recording once the Anushtanam is completed, along with a message from the Acharya and tracking info for your prasadam.

What items or prasadam will be shipped to me after the Anushtanam?

Depending on the Anushtanam, prasadam may include vibhuti & bhasma, kumkum, or consecrated food items. All are blessed during the rituals and securely packed for delivery. If you've opted for any special additions — such as a Rudraksha, energized Spatik Shivalinga, or other offerings — they will also be included as part of your prasadam kit.

Can I sponsor an Anushtanam for someone else (like a family member)?

Absolutely. You can book the Anushtanam in their name and provide their details for sankalpa. Many devotees do this as a gesture of gratitude or blessing.

Is there a recommended dress code or preparation for remote participation?

While not mandatory, sitting in a clean and peaceful space, wearing traditional attire, and mentally chanting during the ritual hours is highly encouraged.
