 Upachar 1

First, meditate and remember Lord Kuber while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
मनुज-बाह्य-विमान-स्थितम्, गरुड-रत्न-निभं निधि-नायकम् । शिव-सखं मुकुटादि-विभूषितम्, वर-गदे दधतं भजे तुन्दिलम् ॥

PADACHEDA

मनुज-बाह्य-विमान-स्थितम् गरुड-रत्न-निभम् निधि-नायकम् शिव-सखम् मुकुट-आदि-विभूषितम् वर-गदे दधतम् भजे तुन्दिलम्, । , ॥

ENGLISH MEANING

I bow to Lord Kubera, the divine treasurer, who shines like a gem seated upon a celestial chariot, adorned with a jeweled crown and mace of blessings, the dear friend of Lord Shiva, ever radiant and compassionate.

TRANSLITERATION

manuja-bāhya-vimāna-sthitam garuḍa-ratna-nibham nidhi-nāyakam śiva-sakham mukuṭa-ādi-vibhūṣitam vara-gade dadhatam bhaje tundilam, . , ..

Upachar 2

Aavahanam
After meditating on Lord Kuber, invite Him by chanting the prescribed Mantra. Keep your hands in Avahan Mudra in front of your chest while doing so.
आवाहयामि देव! त्वामिहायाहि कृपां कुरु । कोशं वर्द्धय नित्यं त्वं परि-रक्ष सुरेश्वर ॥ ॥ श्रीकुबेर-देवम् आवाहयामि ॥

PADACHEDA

आवाहयामि देव-त्वाम् इह आयाहि कृपाम् कुरु-कोशम् वर्द्धय नित्यम् त्वम् परि रक्ष सुर-ईश्वर-श्री-कुबेर-देवम् आवाहयामि! । ॥ ॥ ॥

ENGLISH MEANING

O Divine Lord Kubera! I invoke You to come here with grace and kindness. Please bless me with prosperity, protect my wealth, and guard me from all misfortunes, O Lord of all gods.

TRANSLITERATION

āvāhayāmi deva-tvām iha āyāhi kṛpām kuru-kośam varddhaya nityam tvam pari rakṣa sura-īśvara-śrī-kubera-devam āvāhayāmi! . .. .. ..

Upachar 3

Pushpanjali-Asanam
After invoking Lord Kuber, take five flowers in both palms (Anjali Mudra) and place them in front of your chest as a seat offering to Lord Kuber while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
नाना-रत्न-समायुक्तं कार्त्त-स्वर-विभूषितम् । आसनं देव-देवेश! प्रीत्यर्थं प्रतिगृह्यताम् ॥ ॥ श्रीकुबेर-देवाय आसनार्थे पञ्च-पुष्पाणि समर्पयामि ॥

PADACHEDA

नाना रत्न-समायुक्तम् कार्त्त-स्वर-विभूषितम् आसनम् देव-देवेश-प्रीति-अर्थम् प्रतिगृह्यताम् श्री-कुबेर-देवाय आसन-अर्थे पञ्च पुष्पाणि समर्पयामि । ! ॥ ॥ ॥

ENGLISH MEANING

O Lord of Lords! Kindly accept this golden seat, beautifully decorated with many precious gems, offered with love and devotion for Your pleasure.

TRANSLITERATION

nānā ratna-samāyuktam kārtta-svara-vibhūṣitam āsanam deva-deveśa-prīti-artham pratigṛhyatām śrī-kubera-devāya āsana-arthe pañca puṣpāṇi samarpayāmi . ! .. .. ..

Upachar 4

Navopachara-Pujanam
Now perform Lord Kuber’s Puja with sandal paste (Chandan), rice grains (Akshata), flowers (Pushpa), incense (Dhoop), lamp (Deep), and food offering (Naivedya) while chanting the prescribed Mantras.
ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः पादयोः पाद्यं समर्पयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः शिरसि अर्घ्यं समर्पयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः गन्धाक्षतान् समर्पयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः पुष्पं समर्पयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः धूपम् आघ्रापयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः दीपं दर्शयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः नैवेद्यं निवेदयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः आचमनीयं समर्पयामि । ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः ताम्बूलं समर्पयामि ।

PADACHEDA

ओम् श्री-कुबेराय नमः पादयोः पाद्यम् समर्पयामि ओम् श्री-कुबेराय नमः शिरसि अर्घ्यम् समर्पयामि ओम् श्री-कुबेराय नमः गन्ध-अक्षतान् समर्पयामि ओम् श्री-कुबेराय नमः पुष्पम् समर्पयामि । । । । । । । । ।

ENGLISH MEANING

With reverence, I offer to Lord Kubera water for His feet, fragrant sandal, sacred rice, flowers, incense, lamp, food, and betel — symbols of devotion, purity, and heartfelt worship.

TRANSLITERATION

om śrī-kuberāya namaḥ pādayoḥ pādyam samarpayāmi om śrī-kuberāya namaḥ śirasi arghyam samarpayāmi om śrī-kuberāya namaḥ gandha-akṣatān samarpayāmi om śrī-kuberāya namaḥ puṣpam samarpayāmi . . . . . . . . .

Upachar 5

Pujana-Samarpanam
After completing the Puja, take sandal paste, rice grains, and flowers in your left hand and gently place them near your chest with your right hand while chanting the prescribed Mantra.
ॐ श्रीकुबेराय नमः । अनेन पूजनेन श्रीधनाध्यक्षः श्रीकुबेरः प्रीयताम् । नमो नमः ।

PADACHEDA

ओम् श्री-कुबेराय नमः अनेन पूजनेन श्रीधन-अध्यक्षः श्रीकुबेरः प्रीयताम् नमः नमः । । ।

ENGLISH MEANING

May Lord Kubera, the divine treasurer and bestower of wealth, be pleased with this humble worship and bless the devotee with abundance, fortune, and enduring prosperity.

TRANSLITERATION

om śrī-kuberāya namaḥ anena pūjanena śrīdhana-adhyakṣaḥ śrīkuberaḥ prīyatām namaḥ namaḥ . . .
