jaṭā-aṭavī-galat-jala-pravāha-pāvita-sthale gale avalambya lambitām bhujaṅga-tuṅga-mālikām . ḍamaḍ ḍamaḍ ḍamaḍ ḍaman nināda-vaḍḍamarvayam cakāra caṇḍa-tāṇḍavam tanotu naḥ śivaḥ śivam ..1..
From the forest of his matted lock, water flows and wets his neck, On which hangs the greatest of snake like a garland. |1| And his drum incessantly plays Damat, Damat, Damat, Damat, And Shiva is engaged in the very vigorous manly dance, To bless and shower prosperity on all of us.|2|

जटाकटाहसम्भ्रमभ्रमन्निलिम्पनिर्झरी_ विलोलवीचिवल्लरीविराजमानमूर्धनि । धगद्धगद्धगज्जलल्ललाटपट्टपावके किशोरचन्द्रशेखरे रतिः प्रतिक्षणं मम ॥२॥
जटा-कटाह-सम्भ्रम-भ्रमत्-निलिम्प-निर्झरी विलोल-वीचि-वल्लरी-विराजमान-मूर्धनि । धगत्-धगत्-धगत्-जलत्-ललाट-पट्ट-पावके किशोर-चन्द्रशेखरे रतिः प्रतिक्षणम् मम ॥२॥

The celestial river agitatedly moving through his matted hair, Which makes his head shine with those soft waves.|1| And his forehead shining like a brilliant fire-dhaga dhaga, And the crescent of moon which is an ornament to his head, Makes my mind love him each and every second.|2|

धराधरेन्द्रनन्दिनीविलासबन्धुबन्धुर स्फुरद्दिगन्तसन्ततिप्रमोदमानमानसे । कृपाकटाक्षधोरणीनिरुद्धदुर्धरापदि क्वचिद्दिगम्बरे मनो विनोदमेतु वस्तुनि ॥३॥
धराधर-इन्द्र-नन्दिनी-विलास-बन्धु-बन्धुर स्फुरत्-दिगन्त-सन्तति-प्रमोद-मान-मानसे । कृपा-कटाक्ष-धोरणी-निरुद्ध-दुर्धर-आपदि क्वचिद् दिगम्बरे मनः विनोदम् एतु वस्तुनि ॥३॥
dharādhara-indra-nandinī-vilāsa-bandhu-bandhura sphurat-diganta-santati-pramoda-māna-mānase . kṛpā-kaṭākṣa-dhoraṇī-niruddha-durdhara-āpadi kvacid digambare manaḥ vinodam etu vastuni ..3..
The consort of the ever sportive daughter of the mountain, Whose mind rejoices at her side long glances.|1| With the stream of merciful look which removes hardships, Makes my mind take pleasure in him who wears the directions as apparel.|2|

जटाभुजङ्गपिङ्गलस्फुरत्फणामणिप्रभा कदम्बकुङ्कुमद्रवप्रलिप्तदिग्वधूमुखे । मदान्धसिन्धुरस्फुरत्त्वगुत्तरीयमेदुरे मनो विनोदमद्भुतं बिभर्तु भूतभर्तरि ॥४॥
जटा-भुजङ्ग-पिङ्गल-स्फुरत्-फणामणि-प्रभा कदम्ब-कुङ्कुम-द्रव-प्रलिप्त-दिश्-वधू-मुखे । मद-अन्ध-सिन्धुर-स्फुरत्-त्वच्-उत्तरीय-मेदुरे मनः विनोदम् अद्भुतम् बिभर्तु भूत-भर्तरि ॥४॥
jaṭā-bhujaṅga-piṅgala-sphurat-phaṇāmaṇi-prabhā kadamba-kuṅkuma-drava-pralipta-diś-vadhū-mukhe . mada-andha-sindhura-sphurat-tvac-uttarīya-medure manaḥ vinodam adbhutam bibhartu bhūta-bhartari ..4..
He with the shining lustrous gem on the hood Of the serpent entwining his matted locks, He who is with his bride whose face is decorated By the melting of red saffron Kumkum.|1| And He who wears on his shoulder the hide Of the elephant which was blind with ferociousness, Makes my mind happy and contented, In him who is the leader of Bhoothas.|2|

सहस्रलोचनप्रभृत्यशेषलेखशेखर प्रसूनधूलिधोरणी विधूसराङ्घ्रिपीठभूः | भुजङ्गराजमालया निबद्धजाटजूटक श्रियै चिराय जायतां चकोरबन्धुशेखरः ||५||
सहस्रलोचन-प्रभृति-अशेष-लेख-शेखर । भुजङ्ग-राज-मालया निबद्ध-जाटजूटक श्रियै चिराय जायताम् चकोर-बन्धु-शेखरः ॥५॥
sahasralocana-prabhṛti-aśeṣa-lekha-śekhara . bhujaṅga-rāja-mālayā nibaddha-jāṭajūṭaka śriyai cirāya jāyatām cakora-bandhu-śekharaḥ ..5..
May he whose foot stool is decorated by the ever flowing flower dust. Falling the bent head of Indra and Gods, And may He, whose matted locks are tied by the king of serpents(Vasuki).|1| And may he whose head is decorated by the crescent moon who is a friend of Chakora(a mythical bird) shower prosperity forever on me.|2|

ललाटचत्वरज्वलद्धनञ्जयस्फुलिङ्गभा निपीतपञ्चसायकं नमन्निलिम्पनायकम् | सुधामयूखलेखया विराजमानशेखरं महाकपालिसम्पदेशिरोजटालमस्तु नः ||६||
ललाट-चत्वर-ज्वलत्-धनञ्जय-स्फुलिङ्ग-भा निपीत-पञ्च-सायकम् नमत्-निलिम्प-नायकम् । सुधा-मयूख-लेखया विराजमान-शेखरम् महाकपालि-सम्पद्-एशिरः-जटालम् अस्तु नः ॥६॥
lalāṭa-catvara-jvalat-dhanañjaya-sphuliṅga-bhā nipīta-pañca-sāyakam namat-nilimpa-nāyakam . sudhā-mayūkha-lekhayā virājamāna-śekharam mahākapāli-sampad-eśiraḥ-jaṭālam astu naḥ ..6..
May he with the raging fire In his forehead, who burnt the God of love(kama-deva), May He who is forever being saluted by king of devas.|1| And may he who has collected the cool ambrosia like crescent moon on his forehead, And may he who wears a garland of skulls, bless us to create wealth for us.|2|

करालभालपट्टिकाधगद्धगद्धगज्ज्वलद् धनञ्जयाहुतीकृतप्रचण्डपञ्चसायके । धराधरेन्द्रनन्दिनीकुचाग्रचित्रपत्रक प्रकल्पनैकशिल्पिनि त्रिलोचने रतिर्मम ॥७॥
कराल-भाल-पट्टिका-धगत्-धगत्-गज्ज्वलत् धनञ्जय-आहुतीकृत-प्रचण्ड-पञ्च-सायके । धराधर-इन्द्र-नन्दिनी-कुच-अग्र-चित्र-पत्रक प्रकल्पना-एक-शिल्पिनि त्रिलोचने रतिः मम ॥७॥
karāla-bhāla-paṭṭikā-dhagat-dhagat-gajjvalat dhanañjaya-āhutīkṛta-pracaṇḍa-pañca-sāyake . dharādhara-indra-nandinī-kuca-agra-citra-patraka prakalpanā-eka-śilpini trilocane ratiḥ mama ..7..
May He in whose forehead, fire burns “Dhaga”, “Dhaga,”,“Dhaga,” May He who burnt the one with five arrows* as an offering to fire.|1| May He who is the only one who can write decorative lines, On the tip of the breasts of the daughter of the mountain, And May He with three eyes make mind enjoy in him.|2|

नवीनमेघमण्डली निरुद्धदुर्धरस्फुरत् कुहूनिशीथिनीतमः प्रबन्धबद्धकन्धरः । निलिम्पनिर्झरीधरस्तनोतु कृत्तिसिन्धुरः कलानिधानबन्धुरः श्रियं जगद्धुरंधरः ॥८॥
। निलिम्प-निर्झरीधरः स्तनोतु कृत्ति-सिन्धुरः कला-निधान-बन्धुरः श्रियम् जगत्-धुरंधरः ॥८॥
. nilimpa-nirjharīdharaḥ stanotu kṛtti-sindhuraḥ kalā-nidhāna-bandhuraḥ śriyam jagat-dhuraṃdharaḥ ..8..
May He whose black neck is as dark As several layers of new clouds, Packed closely on the night of the new moon. May He who wears the celestial river ganga on his head.|1| May He who is very handsome because of the crescent that he wears, And may he who carries the entire burden of the world, Bless us with all sorts of wealth.|2|

प्रफुल्लनीलपङ्कजप्रपञ्चकालिमप्रभा_ वलम्बिकण्ठकन्दलीरुचिप्रबद्धकन्धरम् । स्मरच्छिदं पुरच्छिदं भवच्छिदं मखच्छिदं गजच्छिदान्धकच्छिदं तमन्तकच्छिदं भजे ॥९॥
प्रफुल्ल-नील-पङ्कज-प्रपञ्च-कालिम-प्रभा वलम्बि-कण्ठ-कन्दली-रुचि-प्रबद्ध-कन्धरम् । स्मर-छिदम् पुर-छिदम् भवत्-छिदम् मख-छिदम् गज-छिदा अन्धक-छिदम् तम् अन्तक-छिदम् भजे ॥९॥
praphulla-nīla-paṅkaja-prapañca-kālima-prabhā valambi-kaṇṭha-kandalī-ruci-prabaddha-kandharam . smara-chidam pura-chidam bhavat-chidam makha-chidam gaja-chidā andhaka-chidam tam antaka-chidam bhaje ..9..
I salute him, who shines with a black neck Similar to the well opened blue lotus, On which all the temples depend for prayer,|1| And him who destroyed God of love, the three cities, The worldly problems and yaga destroyers, And him who destroyed elephant faced Asura and also God of death.|2|

अखर्वसर्वमङ्गलाकलाकदम्बमञ्जरी_ रसप्रवाहमाधुरीविजृम्भणामधुव्रतम् । स्मरान्तकं पुरान्तकं भवान्तकं मखान्तकं गजान्तकान्धकान्तकं तमन्तकान्तकं भजे ॥१०॥
अखर्व-सर्व-मङ्गल-अकला-कदम्ब-मञ्जरी । स्मर-अन्तकम् पुर-अन्तकम् भव-अन्तकम् मख-अन्तकम् गज-अन्तक-अन्धक-अन्तकम् तम् अन्तक-अन्तकम् भजे ॥१०॥
akharva-sarva-maṅgala-akalā-kadamba-mañjarī . smara-antakam pura-antakam bhava-antakam makha-antakam gaja-antaka-andhaka-antakam tam antaka-antakam bhaje ..10..
I salute him who is like the bee who drinks the sweetened honey, That flows from the flower bunch of collection of arts of the Goddess.|1| And him who destroyed God of love, the three cities, The worldly problems and yagya destroyers, And him who destroyed elephant faced Asura and also God of death.|2|

जयत्वदभ्रविभ्रमभ्रमद्भुजङ्गमश्वसद् विनिर्गमत्क्रमस्फुरत्करालभालहव्यवाट् । धिमिद्धिमिद्धिमिध्वनन्मृदङ्गतुङ्गमङ्गल_ ध्वनिक्रमप्रवर्तितप्रचण्डताण्डवः शिवः ॥११॥
जयतु अदभ्र-विभ्रम-भ्रमत्-भुजङ्गम-श्वसत् विनिर्गमत्-क्रम-स्फुरत्-कराल-भाल-हव्यवाट् । धिमिद् धिमिधिमिध्वनत्-मृदङ्ग-तुङ्ग-मङ्गल ॥११॥
jayatu adabhra-vibhrama-bhramat-bhujaṅgama-śvasat vinirgamat-krama-sphurat-karāla-bhāla-havyavāṭ . dhimid dhimidhimidhvanat-mṛdaṅga-tuṅga-maṅgala ..11..
Victory to the great Shiva, who has the fire burning in his forehead, Which is increased by the breath of the snake wandering in the sky.|1| And to Him who dances to the changing tunes and fierce sound, Of Dhimi, dhimi, dhimi coming out the auspicious drum.|2|

स्पृषद्विचित्रतल्पयोर्भुजङ्गमौक्तिकस्रजोर् गरिष्ठरत्नलोष्ठयोः सुहृद्विपक्षपक्षयोः । तृणारविन्दचक्षुषोः प्रजामहीमहेन्द्रयोः समप्रवृत्तिकः कदा सदाशिवं भजे ॥१२॥
स्पृषत्-विचित्र-तल्पयोः भुजङ्ग-मौक्तिक-स्रजोः गरिष्ठ-रत्न-लोष्ठयोः सुहृद्-विपक्ष-पक्षयोः । तृण-अरविन्द-चक्षुषोः प्रजा-महीमहेन्द्रयोः सम-प्रवृत्तिकः कदा सदाशिवम् भजे ॥१२॥
spṛṣat-vicitra-talpayoḥ bhujaṅga-mauktika-srajoḥ gariṣṭha-ratna-loṣṭhayoḥ suhṛd-vipakṣa-pakṣayoḥ . tṛṇa-aravinda-cakṣuṣoḥ prajā-mahīmahendrayoḥ sama-pravṛttikaḥ kadā sadāśivam bhaje ..12..
When will I be able to worship that eternal shiva, With a feeling of equanimity towards snake and a garland, Towards great gems and dirt or friends and enemies.|1| Or Towards a blade of grass and lotus like eyes, Or towards emperor and ordinary men.|2|

कदा निलिम्पनिर्झरीनिकुञ्जकोटरे वसन् विमुक्तदुर्मतिः सदा शिरस्थमञ्जलिं वहन् । विमुक्तलोललोचनो ललामभाललग्नकः शिवेति मन्त्रमुच्चरन्कदा सुखी भवाम्यहम् ॥१३॥
कदा निलिम्प-निर्झरी-निकुञ्ज-कोटरे वसन् विमुक्त-दुर्मतिः सदा शिर-स्थम् अञ्जलिम् वहन् । विमुक्त-लोल-लोचनः ललाम-भास्-लग्नकः शिवा इति मन्त्रम् उच्चरन् कदा सुखी भवामि अहम् ॥१३॥
kadā nilimpa-nirjharī-nikuñja-koṭare vasan vimukta-durmatiḥ sadā śira-stham añjalim vahan . vimukta-lola-locanaḥ lalāma-bhās-lagnakaḥ śivā iti mantram uccaran kadā sukhī bhavāmi aham ..13..
When will I live the life of pleasure, meditating on Shiva, Sitting near a hollow cave near the celestial river Ganga.|1| Releasing all my bad thoughts by focusing in the middle of forehead and with hands in namaskara mudra clasped above my head, After releasing all passion for pretty women with eyes that are unwavering.|2|

इदम् हि नित्यमेवमुक्तमुत्तमोत्तमं स्तवं पठन्स्मरन्ब्रुवन्नरो विशुद्धिमेतिसंततम् । हरे गुरौ सुभक्तिमाशु याति नान्यथा गतिं विमोहनं हि देहिनां सुशङ्करस्य चिन्तनम् ॥१४॥
इदम् हि नित्यम् एवम् उक्तम् उत्तमोत्तमम् स्तवम् पठन् स्मरन् ब्रुवन् नरः विशुद्धिम् एति संततम् । हरे गुरौ सु भक्तिम् आशु याति न अन्यथा गतिम् विमोहनम् हि देहिनाम् सु शङ्करस्य चिन्तनम् ॥१४॥
idam hi nityam evam uktam uttamottamam stavam paṭhan smaran bruvan naraḥ viśuddhim eti saṃtatam . hare gurau su bhaktim āśu yāti na anyathā gatim vimohanam hi dehinām su śaṅkarasya cintanam ..14..
This greater than the great prayer if read, Remembered, or recited daily by a yogi, Will make him pure and eternal.|1| And he would get devotion to Shiva leading him to salvation, For remembering Lord Shiva, is a sure method of removal of detachment.|2|
