ध्यानम्/dhyānam
प्रणमामि सदा राहुं शूर्पाकारं किरीटिनम् । सैंहिकेयं करालास्यं लोकानामभयप्रदम् ॥ 1॥

I always salute Rahu, who holds a winnow, who has a crown, Who is like a lion and is terrible looking, And who grants protection to people
। अथ राहु कवचम् । /। atha rāhu kavacham ।
नीलाम्बरः शिरः पातु ललाटं लोकवन्दितः । चक्षुषी पातु मे राहुः श्रोत्रे त्वर्धशरिरवान् ॥ 2॥
nīlāmbaraḥ śiraḥ pātu lalāṭaṃ lokavanditaḥ . cakṣuṣī pātu me rāhuḥ śrotre tvardhaśariravān .. 2..
Let my head be protected by he who wears blue silk, Let my forehead be protected by he who is worshipped by the world, Let Rahu protect my eyes and semi bodied one protect my ears.
नासिकां मे धूम्रवर्णः शूलपाणिर्मुखं मम । जिह्वां मे सिंहिकासूनुः कण्ठं मे कठिनाङ्घ्रिकः ॥ 3॥
nāsikāṃ me dhūmravarṇaḥ śūlapāṇirmukhaṃ mama . jihvāṃ me siṃhikāsūnuḥ kaṇṭhaṃ me kaṭhināṅghrikaḥ .. 3..
Let the smoke colured one protect my nose, And let he who holds the spear protect my face, Let the son of Simhika protect my toungue, And let my neck be protected by he who perceives by smell.
भुजङ्गेशो भुजौ पातु नीलमाल्याम्बरः करौ । पातु वक्षःस्थलं मन्त्री पातु कुक्षिं विधुन्तुदः ॥ 4॥
bhujaṅgeśo bhujau pātu nīlamālyāmbaraḥ karau . pātu vakṣaḥsthalaṃ mantrī pātu kukṣiṃ vidhuntudaḥ .. 4..
Let the lord of serpents protect my arm, Let my hands be protected by he who wears blue garlands, Let the minister protect my breast, And let the wise one protect my belly.
कटिं मे विकटः पातु ऊरू मे सुरपूजितः । स्वर्भानुर्जानुनी पातु जङ्घे मे पातु जाड्यहा ॥ 5॥
kaṭiṃ me vikaṭaḥ pātu ūrū me surapūjitaḥ . svarbhānurjānunī pātu jaṅghe me pātu jāḍyahā .. 5..
Let my hip be protected by the funny one, Let my thighs be protected by he who is worshipped by devas, Let my knees be protected by him who makes the sun his own, Let my calves be protected by him who is sluggish.
गुल्फौ ग्रहपतिः पातु पादौ मे भीषणाकृतिः । सर्वाण्यङ्गानि मे पातु नीलचन्दनभूषणः ॥ 6॥
gulphau grahapatiḥ pātu pādau me bhīṣaṇākṛtiḥ . sarvāṇyaṅgāni me pātu nīlacandanabhūṣaṇaḥ .. 6..
Let my ankle be protected by the lord of planets, Let my feet be protected by he who looks terrible, And let all my limbs be protected by him who wears blue sandal paste.
फलश्रुतिः/phalaśrutih
राहोरिदं कवचमृद्धिदवस्तुदं यो भक्त्या पठत्यनुदिनं नियतः शुचिः सन् । प्राप्नोति कीर्तिमतुलां श्रियमृद्धि- मायुरारोग्यमात्मविजयं च हि तत्प्रसादात् ॥ 7॥
rāhoridaṃ kavacamṛddhidavastudaṃ yo bhaktyā paṭhatyanudinaṃ niyataḥ śuciḥ san . prāpnoti kīrtimatulāṃ śriyamṛddhi- māyurārogyamātmavijayaṃ ca hi tatprasādāt .. 7..
He who invests himself in this armour of Rahu, Daily reads it with devotion according to rules cleanly, Would get incomparable fame, plenty of wealth, long life, Health and great victory in life due to his blessings.
॥ इति श्रीमहाभारते धृतराष्ट्रसञ्जयसंवादे द्रोणपर्वणि राहुकवचं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
.. iti śrīmahābhārate dhṛtarāṣṭrasañjayasaṃvāde droṇaparvaṇi rāhukavacaṃ sampūrṇam ..
