चत्वारि पदजातानि नामाख्यातोपसर्गनिपाताः ।
catvāri padajātāni nāmākhyātopasarganipātāḥ
Those 4 पद - groups are
नाम - Name ,
आख्यात - Verbs ,
उपसर्ग - Suffix ,
निपात - Nipata.
Group 1,Group 2, Group 3 are called subanta prakaraṇam under which
1. nāmapadāni that is Nouns are in Group 1

2. upasarga & visarga which are suffixes and prefixes are in Group 2

and 3. sarvanāmapadāni i.e. Pronouns ,
4. viśeṣaṇapadāni i.e. Adjectives ,
5. kriyāviśeṣaṇapadāni i.e Adverbs,
all 3 are in Group 3
