varṇa vichedaḥ saṃyoga ca

वर्ण विछेदः
Vicheda ( विछेदः ) is the process of bifurcation of each individual letters( वर्ण ) in a word to the most fundamental form of letters which are Swaras and Vyanjanani. For Example परिक्षा = प् + अ + र् + इ + क् + ष् + आ भगवान = भ् + अ + ग् + अ + व् + आ + न् + अ Note: To find the ending that identifies the proper vibhakti table, use varna vicheda. For परिक्षा it would be आकारान्त शब्दः and for भगवान it would be अकारान्त शब्दः, the same is followed for each and every word.

वर्ण संयोग
Samyoga ( संयोग ) is the process of addition of each individual letters( वर्ण ) in a sequence to form a complete word. For Example प् + अ + र् + इ + क् + ष् + आ = परिक्षा भ् + अ + ग् + अ + व् + आ + न् + अ = भगवान
